Our 4WD barely gets driven anymore. It sits in the driveway, and most of the time that’s exactly where it stays. But every so often I need it. And every so often that means edging the big white beast into a tight space in a busy carpark, on a busy day, often with someone waiting behind… Read More Nobody Wants To Be Bad At Something In Front Of Other People
Fourth in a series on AI at work. This one’s less about the workplace and more about us. I listened to a podcast interview with Dr Norman Swan recently and ordered his new book, The Brain Cliff, before it had finished. It’s currently on the bedside table in the queue of books waiting for me… Read More The Cost of Hard Thinking We’re Giving Away
A few months after a significant cardiac event, I found myself thinking about weight loss…well the exercise physiologist delicately suggested it. My heart event was related to a virus and a crappy week that pushed my health to its limits. I co-facilitated a session recently introducing Copilot in which we discussed writing better prompts, along with the value of sticking to a framework such as the GCES framework — Goal, Context, Expectations, Source. It’s a structure I use constantly. It’s simple, it’s quick, and it gets you usable output in a hurry. But a few… Read More Better prompts, better results: why I’m using two frameworks instead of one
A month ago, I was given access to Claude at work. To help prepare for further roll out, client work, and grow my understanding of AI in general, I made a deliberate decision: I was going to use Claude properly. Not just dabble. Not just throw it the occasional prompt and see what came back.… Read More Month 1 with Claude: From Curious Click to Skill Builder
This blog is long overdue. I have been using Copilot for a while and it has become part of my work, but am yet to share. This is partly because there is a lot of content out there already. I don’t tend to create just for the sake of it. But a recent conversation with… Read More My top 4 Copilot use cases
